I received an email yesterday from Ralph von Vignau, president of the SPIRIT Consortium to the members of the SPIRIT Consortium. In this message Ralph highlighted the successful and beneficial merger of the SPIRIT consortium into the Accellera standardization organization. In particular Ralf thanked many people who supported the IP-XACT standard throughout it’s emergence. I thought it would be good to highlight these to the wider community:
“I would like to thank all of you for your support through the years. In particular my thanks go the those members that have contributed into the Working Groups and the board of directors who were always able and willing to find a way forward even in difficult situations
The list of individuals that have worked way beyond what could be expected in their private time is very long and I would need a book to mention them all. Chris Lennard from ARM with his untiring drive and optimism coupled with technical knowledge and humor. Jayne Scheckla from
Not last and certainly not least, Lynn Horobin, our all encompassing support for anything and everything from the website, organization, PR, financials, to member support, the heart and conscientiousness of The SPIRIT Consortium.
And then the incredible energy, optimism, humor and knowledge of Gary Delp our Technical Director, the only person I know with 36 hours in a day and ever willing to help any time and anywhere.
In the end though it was the whole of the membership together that made The SPIRIT Consortium into a highly respected professional organization where the combination of drive, focus, hard work and enthusiasm enabled the successes and made the events so much fun."
